Cruises in 2007
We did two cruises in 2007
The first was on Galaxy again – 10 days eastern Mediterranean, 22 June to 2 July. Entitled ‘Best of The Mediterranean’ like last year, it was actually a rather different cruise. Th previous year’s feaured 6 ports, in both the east & west Mediterranean: Naples, Mykonos, Santorini, Messina, Cannes and Livorno (and three days at sea); this years had 7 ports of call, more biased to the eastern Med: Messina, Athens, Mykonos, Kusadasi, Rhodes, Santorini, Naples. And of course just 2 days at sea. At that time I wasn’t a fan of too many sea days; more recently (October 2008) I’ve come to enjoy them more. Here’s a link to a summary page about that cruise.
The second was a short cruise around part of the British Isles on Fred Olsen’s Braemar. Basically it was a repositoning cruise, to move Braemar back from Newcastle (NE England) from where she was doing late-summer cruises to Norway & the Baltic, to Southampton, for a couple of early autumn cruises to the Med and the Canaries. The cruise was on September 20th, for 4 nights, with two ports of call: Honfleur in Normandy, and St Peter Port in Guernsey. Here’s a link to a summary page for that one.

Tom … you wrote re Milan/Genoa: We were almost the only people in a full-sized coach from Malpensa to Genoa; right to the dock-side. Nor did we have to worry about our bags: once we handed them over to the coach driver, the next time we saw them was outside our cabin door. So you might want to review the decision not to use MSC’s transfers: at the very least, it’s easy.
Can you PLEASE give me the name/tel/website for the coach (transfer) company you used???
Thank you,
